Checked-in via the lock box on a Sunday afternoon. It is not an exaggeration to say this place smelled like raw sewage inside. I tried contacting the hosts via air bnb message and via the phone number provided and never heard back. I was planning on working some from the cabin, but the wifi wasn't working either. After waiting a few hours, the smell did not get any better and we never heard back from the hosts, so left without staying even one night, had to stay at a hotel a little bit away and booked another air bnb for the rest of our vacation in Port St. Joe. Beware this spot. It's a cute location, just not managed well.
Trash was over flowing into the yard. The grass looked like it had not been cut all summer and we were afraid to wade through it. Very disappointing to drive 5 hours and arrive to this. Did not look like pictures at all. Contacted the manager and never heard back.
Host never responded to me when we had an issue with the cabin. Don’t recommend due to cleanliness, wall separating from structure, bugs, sketchy outlets and unresponsiveness from host.
Very rustic. Woodsy and and shady. very close to the beach. Reminded me of old Florida.
Good place
Enjoyed the small charming cabin and being tucked into the trees. Perfect quiet getaway for two people and furry friend. It was great having such a pet friendly place with walking trails to explore, and we loved the pet welcome bag! Short distance to public beach and bay access and an easy drive into the state park or downtown Port St Joe. Can't wait to come back.
We had a great time at the cabin! Comfortable, and beautiful location. Private and quiet!
We were only there Monday thru Friday. Next time we plan to stay a week. The cabin had everything we needed. It is great for a dog. Very convenient to the beach and restaurants. We enjoyed the out doors.
We enjoyed staying there, but expected a few more pans, but then if you have to cook on a single hot plate, you can only use one at once. Surprised they had a full size small refrigerator. The bed was comfortable. I was a little scared to take our dogs out at night since there are bears around. One ran in front of us as we were coming home from #Blastonthebay, from Indian Pass Raw Bar. I gave the owner a list of things I wanted him to check on and he came and did it. Don't try to take the trail! It needs to be shut down as the boards in the little bridge were rotton and falling through.
we had a great time
We got away with our little one(5) for a few days. The weather changed dramatically on us so we were unable to get out (on the beach & bay)most of the time there. We were grateful for the cute little cabin with all the necessities we needed.
