Gorgeous!!! Pictures do not do justice!! Working elevator which is helpful to get luggage to different levels without hurting yourself or the beautiful floors or the walls!! Our only complaint.. very minor..and very fixable… smoke alarms needs battery replacements ; they charted chirping during our stay and ceilings too high for us to reach.

This is a great location with beach views and a quick walk to the beach access point. Beaches were never crowded. Our host was very accommodating responding very quickly to our last minute request to book when our original booking was cancelled on us an hour and a half before checkin after we had driven over 14 hours from home. The elevator is super helpful when loading up all your luggage and groceries. Be sure to bring beach towel, chairs and goodies if you want them then sit back and enjoy the

Wonderful house and view along with location being between Port St. Joe and Apalachicola. You basically have the beautiful beach to yourself! Neighbors are all nice and a few live there. Just walk down the road about 5-6 houses and you come to the public access to beach. Little bit of a walk but worth it. I would suggest to bring your own skillet if you plan on cooking anything there as the ones there are not worth anything. I'm glad I did bring our own kleenex boxes and our own TP. They provide the TP but not good quality. Also, bring your own soap like I did. You will definitely be relaxed in this home! Make sure to take a trip out to Cape San Blas for a little while, only a couple of minutes down the road. Closest grocery store is Piggly Wiggly in Port St. Joe, about a 15 minute drive but easy because of no traffic. They have little markets, one a mile away across road from Indian Raw Bar and a couple on Cape San Blas for quick needs. This home is rented out through Sandy Shoes Rentals and not an individual. Poor communication from them to us.

We had a lovely time in the Happy Dolphin! It was perfect for our Forever Friend Girl’s Getaway! The well appointed multilevel home, with an elector that came in handy after long walks on the gorgeous sand. We enjoyed our morning coffee in the rocking chairs on the porch, and the swing on the ground floor was a great way to relax and just enjoy some quiet moments. Early November was a little cool for swimming but we enjoyed our walks. The roar of the waves lulled us to sleep each night and we had such gorgeous views of the beach and dunes. We will be back! ❤️

Outstanding place. Best I've stayed at. Is it directly on the beach? No, it is one row of houses back. But it has a 2nd floor balcony and a 3rd floor balcony that look right through a big gap between beach-front houses.

Since the house faces directly south, you can see both the sunrise and the sunset from the balconies.

And if you walk 5 houses down and take a quick right and you're on a fantastic private beach that's accessible for all who are staying in that strip of houses. It's like a 3-minute walk on a sandy path. Beach is not open to the general public, though.

So you walk out on to a Gulf Coast beach that goes on and on for miles in each direction, and there are very few people there at all. When we went to the beach, we would see a few older couples walking and maybe one family with kids running around in the sand.

The house itself is massive...you could easily have 2 families stay there. 2nd and 3rd floors both have bathrooms, bedrooms, closets and balconies facing the ocean. Big kitchen on the 2nd floor. Dishwasher in kitchen. Clothes washer and dryer on the 3rd floor.

Also, there's an elevator from the ground level that stops on all floors. So if you have mobility issues or lots of luggage (or just hate stairs!) that's there as well.

Parking is right under the house. It's on stilts, and you can park 2 cars under it easily. Could probably fit a couple more if you're creative.

The small yard around the house has flowering bushes everywhere and the flowers were loaded with butterflies all day long. My kids were pretty excited about that. There are also shells all over the beach, and lots of critters running around the sand. Again, great for kids (and, you know, me too.)

From the house, you can access the Port St. Joe Peninsula, with wildlife refuges and secluded beaches, as well as St. Vincent Island, a wildlife-only island with walking and biking tracks, just off the coast of Cape St. Blas. Rent a boat and explore islands in the bay.

Weather was perfect, even in mid-October. 75 - 80 during the day, high 60s to low 70s at night.

Stay here. It's perfect.

Nice house, well stocked kitchen. My biggest complaint is the beach access. It’s about a 200 yard walk to get there, not right across the street. The home has great beach views, but all the properties between are private with no trespassing signs up. You can drive on the beach but the permit is $300 for non-residents. Overall a nice house.

We enjoyed our stay at this spacious and stylishly decorated beach abode. The beautiful beach views from the upper and main floor balconies were our favorite part. The kitchen is also very well stocked with everything you need to cook meals at home - pots, pans, bowls, grilling tools for the grills outside Also a blender, coffee maker, dishwasher, etc. The house is part of a small quaint beach community - people are very friendly. Good WiFi signal at the house.
